EVENTS: Hydro-Engineering Institute Sarajevo (BiH) Advances Biodiversity Monitoring in Prebiodunes Project

The Hydro-Engineering Institute Sarajevo advances biodiversity monitoring in the Prebiodunes project through an innovative sensor network.
As part of WP1 activities in
the Prebiodunes project, the Hydro-Engineering Institute Sarajevo is selecting optimal camera systems for biodiversity monitoring. The selected equipment will be part of a distributed sensor network collecting images, audio, and environmental data across various monitoring points. These tools will help monitor birds, mammals, flora, and weather conditions. Collected data will be transmitted to a central server for analysis and storage, supporting long-term biodiversity preservation strategies. The estimated memory requirements reach up to 300 GiB/day. This technological setup ensures high data quality, integrity, and efficiency.
