EVENTS: Meeting of Montenegrin Partners on WP1 Activities within the PREBIODUNES Project

On 24 April 2025, the Environmental Protection Agency and the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics – University of Montenegro organised a meeting dedicated to the realisation of WP1 activities within the PREBIODUNES project.

The focus was on implementing Activity 1.1 – a basic cognitive analysis of fauna and vegetation in the Montenegrin study area (Velika Plaža, Ulcinj) – and Activity 1.3 – the detailed survey and mapping of habitats of Velika Plaža and their integration into a GIS system.

During the meeting, particular attention was given to reviewing the existing literature, previous project data, and context analysis of findings collected during two field surveys led by Prof. Danijela Stešević in April 2025, which aimed to assess the general environmental conditions of Velika Plaža.

The main objective of the meeting was to strengthen efforts to provide a comprehensive overview of the study area’s status quo and to generate essential inputs for the planning tool – GIS.
